 1        AN ACT to amend the Nursing Home  Care  Act  by  changing
 2    Section 2-207.

 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section 5.  The Nursing  Home  Care  Act  is  amended  by
 6    changing Section 2-207 as follows:

 7        (210 ILCS 45/2-207) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 4152-207)
 8        Sec. 2-207. Consumer report.
 9        (a)  Each  year  the  Department shall publish a consumer
10    report Directory for all each public  health  region  listing
11    facilities  to  be  made  available  to  the  public  and  be
12    available  at  all  Department  offices.   The Department may
13    charge a fee for the consumer report Directory.  The consumer
14    report Directory shall contain, at a minimum,  the  following
15    information:
16             (1)  the name and address of each the facility;
17             (2)  the number and type of licensed beds;
18             (3)  the name of the cooperating hospital, if any;
19             (4)  the name of the administrator;
20             (5)  the facility telephone number; and
21             (6)  membership   in   a  provider  association  and
22        accreditation by any such organization;.
23             (7)  a list of violations at each facility;
24             (8)  the rate of staff turnover for  each  facility;
25        and
26             (9)  the   ratio  of  staff  to  residents  at  each
27        facility.
28        (b)  Detailed information concerning basic costs for care
29    and operating policies shall be available to the public  upon
30    request  at each facility.  However, a facility may refuse to
31    make available any  proprietary  operating  policies  to  the

 1    extent such facility reasonably believes such policies may be
 2    revealed to a competitor.

 4        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect upon
 5    becoming law.
