1 AN ACT to amend the School Code by changing Section
2 34-18.3.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing
6 Section 34-18.3 as follows:
7 (105 ILCS 5/34-18.3) (from Ch. 122, par. 34-18.3)
8 Sec. 34-18.3. Tutorial programs. The Board of Education
9 is authorized to establish and implement peer assistance,
10 tutorial programs whereby qualified, able students assist
11 less able students with their studies and course work. As a
12 part of such program the Board shall award appropriate
13 recognition to students furnishing such tutorial services.
14 In addition, the Board is authorized to cooperate with
15 institutions of higher education and may accept tutorial
16 services provided by qualified students of such institutions
17 under the Educational Partnership Act, as now or hereafter
18 amended.
