91_HB1695enr HB1695 Enrolled LRB9104684PTpk 1 AN ACT to amend the Property Tax Code by adding Section 2 20-12. 3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 4 represented in the General Assembly: 5 Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by adding 6 Section 20-12 as follows: 7 (35 ILCS 200/20-12 new) 8 Sec. 20-12. Duplicate copies of tax bills. The 9 collector, upon approval by the county board, shall assess a 10 fee of up to $5 for each duplicate tax bill provided to any 11 mortgage lender as defined in Section 1-90 who is not the 12 property owner of record. All amounts collected under this 13 Section shall be deposited into the Tax Sale Automation Fund 14 established in Section 21-245 of this Code. 15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 16 becoming law.
