 1        AN ACT to amend  the  School  Code  by  changing  Section
 2    18-8.1.

 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section 5.   The  School  Code  is  amended  by  changing
 6    Section 18-8.1 as follows:

 7        (105 ILCS 5/18-8.1) (from Ch. 122, par. 18-8.1)
 8        Sec.  18-8.1.  Basis  for  apportionment  to co-terminous
 9    districts.  In the event  that  a  single  elementary  school
10    district is co-terminous with a high school district and the
11    2  two  districts  employ  a common superintendent, the State
12    equalization aid to the 2 two districts  shall  be  computed,
13    first,  as  though  they  constituted  a  unit  district and,
14    second, as for separate districts, and the State equalization
15    aid to be allowed shall be one-half of the sum of the  2  two
16    State  equalization  aids  so  computed.  The  excess  of the
17    equalization aid so determined over the  amount  which  would
18    have  been  allowed  to  the  2  two  districts  as  separate
19    districts,  shall be allocated between the 2 two districts in
20    proportion to the average daily attendance of each.
