1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Procurement Code by changing
2 Section 1-5.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by
6 changing Section 1-5 as follows:
7 (30 ILCS 500/1-5)
8 Sec. 1-5. Public policy. It is the purpose of this Code
9 and is declared to be the policy of this the State that the
10 principles of competitive bidding and economical procurement
11 practices shall be applicable to all purchases and contracts
12 by or for any State agency.
