1 AN ACT to amend the Child Care Act of 1969 by adding
2 Section 7.3.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by
6 adding Section 7.3 as follows:
7 (225 ILCS 10/7.3 new)
8 Sec. 7.3. Child care setting registration; roster.
9 (a) For the purposes of this Section, "child care
10 setting" means any child care facility that regularly
11 provides day care for less than 24 hours per day for (i) more
12 than 8 children in a family home, or (ii) more than 3
13 children in a facility other than a family home, including
14 senior citizens buildings.
15 (b) All child care settings exempt from licensure under
16 this Act must register with the Department on forms provided
17 by the Department.
18 (c) The Department shall maintain a roster of the names
19 and addresses of all child care settings who register
20 pursuant to subsection (b) of this Section.
21 (d) The Department shall promulgate rules necessary for
22 the enforcement of this Section.
23 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
24 becoming law.
