 1        AN ACT to create the Clean Coal Plant Act.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 1. Short title. This Act  may  be  cited  as  the
 5    Clean Coal Plant Act.

 6        Section 5.  Legislative purpose.  The purpose of this Act
 7    is  to  promote  the  location  of  coal  plants that use new
 8    technology, including  coal  gasification  to  remove  excess
 9    sulfur from coal, in Southern Illinois.
