1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1276
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1276, AS AMENDED,
3 with reference to page and line numbers of Senate amendment
4 No. 1, on page 1 by inserting immediately after line 19 the
5 following:
6 (65 ILCS 5/11-65-5) (from Ch. 24, par. 11-65-5)
7 Sec. 11-65-5. The city council, in the manner and at the
8 time provided by law, shall provide by ordinance for the
9 collection of a direct annual tax sufficient to pay the
10 interest on bonds issued under this Division 65 as it falls
11 due, and also to pay the principal thereof as it falls due.
12 Except that the city council of any municipality with a
13 population of 12,500 or more but less then 25,000 that (i) is
14 located in a county with a population of 250,000 or more but
15 less than 260,000 and (ii) does not levy a property tax shall
16 not levy a property tax for purposes of this Division 65.
