1 AN ACT to amend the Drug Asset Forfeiture Procedure Act
2 by changing Section 13.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Drug Asset Forfeiture Procedure Act is
6 amended by changing Section 13 as follows:
7 (725 ILCS 150/13) (from Ch. 56 1/2, par. 1683)
8 Sec. 13. Construction. It is shall be the intent of the
9 General Assembly that the forfeiture provisions of this Act
10 be liberally construed so as to effect their remedial
11 purpose. The forfeiture of property and other remedies
12 hereunder shall be considered to be in addition, and not
13 exclusive of any sentence or other remedy provided by law.
