1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 758
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 758 as follows:
3 on page 8, by replacing lines 14 through 17 with the
4 following:
5 "(h) The number of signatures required for a candidate
6 for judicial office in a district, circuit, or subcircuit
7 shall be 0.25% of the number of votes cast for the judicial
8 candidate of his or her political party who received the
9 highest number of votes at the last regular general election
10 at which a judicial officer from the same district, circuit,
11 or subcircuit was regularly scheduled to be elected, but in
12 no event shall be less than 500 signatures If for a candidate
13 for judicial office, by at least 500 qualified primary
14 electors of his or her judicial district, circuit, or
15 subcircuit, as the case may be.".
