 1        AN  ACT to amend the Naprapathic Practice Act by changing
 2    Section 65.

 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section  5.   The  Naprapathic Practice Act is amended by
 6    changing Section 65 as follows:

 7        (225 ILCS 63/65)
 8        Sec.   65.  Licensure    without    examination.     Upon
 9    application  made  on or before December 31, 1999  For the 36
10    months beginning on the effective date of this amendatory Act
11    of 1995, the Department may grant a license as  a  naprapath,
12    upon review of the application, to an applicant who practices
13    naprapathy and who can document employment as a naprapath and
14    has  received  remuneration  for practicing naprapathy within
15    the period from July 1, 1985 to July 1, 1993 for at least  10
16    years  before  the  effective  date of this amendatory Act of
17    1995, if that person submits  an  application  and  pays  the
18    necessary  fees.   The  applicant  must  verify  meeting  the
19    educational  qualifications  contained  in this Act and shall
20    demonstrate maintenance of clinical skills.  This may require
21    a  personal  appearance  before  the   Examining   Committee,
22    successful   completion  of  the  licensing  examination,  or
23    documentation of attendance at  relevant  clinical  education
24    programs within for the past 10 5 years.

26        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect upon
27    becoming law.
