1 AN ACT to amend the Carrier, Racing, Hobby, and Show
2 Pigeon Act of 1993 by changing Section 7.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Carrier, Racing, Hobby, and Show Pigeon
6 Act of 1993 is amended by changing Section 7 as follows:
7 (510 ILCS 45/7) (from Ch. 8, par. 907)
8 Sec. 7. Ordinances. A municipality located in a county
9 with fewer than 3,000,000 inhabitants or a county shall not
10 enact an ordinance which prohibits the orderly keeping of
11 carrier pigeons, hobby, or show pigeons, except that any
12 municipality located within a county having 3,000,000 or more
13 inhabitants may enact an ordinance to prohibit or regulate
14 the orderly keeping of carrier, racing, hobby, or show
15 pigeons.
