1 AN ACT to amend the Professional Boxing and Wrestling Act
2 by changing Section 10.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Professional Boxing and Wrestling Act is
6 amended by changing Section 10 as follows:
7 (225 ILCS 105/10) (from Ch. 111, par. 5010)
8 Sec. 10. License required. In order to participate in
9 boxing contests the following persons must each be licensed
10 and in good standing with the Department: (a) promoters, (b)
11 contestants, (c) seconds, (d) referees, (e) judges, (f)
12 managers, (g) trainers, and (h) timekeepers.
13 Matchmakers, physicians and announcers may participate in
14 boxing contests without being licensed. It shall be the
15 responsibility of the promoter to ensure that these
16 unlicensed persons comply with this the Act, and all rules
17 and regulations promulgated pursuant thereto. These persons
18 involved with professional boxing and wrestling must register
19 with the Department by supplying the Athletic Section with
20 their name, address, telephone number, and social security
21 number.
