 1                     AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 112

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill  112,  AS  AMENDED,
 3    with  reference  to  the  page  and  line  numbers  of  House
 4    Amendment  No.  1,  on  page  2,  line  2, by inserting after
 5    "corporation" the following:
 6    "who  distributes  fireworks  for  sale  in  the   State   of
 7    Illinois"; and

 8    on page 2, line 3, by replacing ""Pyrotechnic operator"" with
 9    ""Lead pyrotechnic operator" or "pyrotechnic operator""; and

10    on  page  4,  line  15,  by  changing  "January  1,  2001" to
11    "December 1, 1999"; and

12    on page 5, line 6, by changing "January 1, 2001" to "July  1,
13    2000"; and

14    on page 5, by deleting line 18; and

15    on page 5, line 19, by changing "(4)" to "(3)"; and

16    on page 5, line 20, by changing "(5)" to "(4)"; and

17    on page 5, line 23, by changing "(6)" to "(5)"; and

18    on page 5, by replacing lines 26 and 27 with the following:
19        "(c)  After July 1, 2000, no individual may act as a lead
20    operator in a pyrotechnics display without"; and

 1    on page 5, by inserting below line 34 the following:
 2    "(d)  After  July  1,  2000,  no individual may assist a lead
 3    pyrotechnic operator  in  conducting  a  pyrotechnic  display
 4    without  having  been  certified  to  do  so.  To obtain such
 5    certification, an individual  must  successfully  complete  a
 6    State  Fire Marshal approved in-house training program with a
 7    licensed displayer.  This certification shall be kept on file
 8    with the Office of the State Fire Marshal."; and

 9    on page 14, by replacing line 30 with the following:
10    "business offense punishable by a fine not to exceed  $5,000;
11    a"; and

12    on page 15, line 1, by replacing "$5,000" with $10,000"; and

13    on  page  19, line 22, by replacing "(Source: P.A. 86-1028.)"
14    with the following:
15    "(Source: P.A. 86-1028.)

16        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  upon
17    becoming law.".
