Short description: SENATE RULES-ARTICLE XI Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Senate Rules (Senate Resolution 2) to amend Article XI, relating to contests and qualifications challenges. Allows elec- tion contests to be initiated within 45 days of the convening of the Senate. Changes the notice requirements for meetings of the special committee. Deletes certain provisions relating to (i) the quorum of the special committee; (ii) the applicability of the Election Code; (iii) the scope of the petition; and (iv) the signing of subpoenas. Deletes the special committee's power to limit the issues to be determined.
