OVERLAPPING TAXES TASK FORCE                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Creates  the  Overlapping  Taxing  District   Investigative   and      
   Advisory Task Force within the Illinois House of Representatives.  The      
   Task  Force  is  created  to  investigate overlapping taxing districts      
   within the State that force taxpayers to often pay twice the amount of      
   taxes.                                                                      
        HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                 
        Changes the reporting date from June 1 to September 1, 1998.
