PROBATE-GUARDIAN-NO PARENT                                                 

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the "Minors" Article of the  Probate  Act.   Authorizes  a      
   legal  private  guardian of a minor to designate a standby guardian of      
   the minor or appoint a short-term guardian of the minor if there is no      
   surviving parent of the minor.
