Short description: 
CRIM ID-EXPUNGEMENT                                                        

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois.  Provides  that      
   in exercising their duties in relation to the Law Enforcement Agencies      
   Data  System (LEADS), the Department of State Police shall ensure that      
   no information  concerning  the  arrest  of  an  individual  shall  be      
   included  in LEADS if that individual is acquitted or released without      
   being convicted.  Amends the  Criminal  Identification  Act.   Deletes      
   provision  requiring that, in order for an adult or minor charged with      
   a violation of a municipal ordinance or a felony  or  misdemeanor  and      
   acquitted  or  released  without  being  convicted  to have his or her      
   record expunged, the person shall not have been  previously  convicted      
   of any criminal offense or municipal ordinance violation.
