House Sponsors: SKINNER-GASH. Short description: TOLLWAY PAY IDOT RIGHT OF WAY Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the State Finance Act and the Illinois Highway Code. Requires the Department of Transportation to sell to the Toll Highway Authority any property, at its fair appraised value, that may be used by the Authority to expand certain toll highways. Creates the Northeastern Illinois Strategic Regional Arterial Road Improvement Fund and provides that the money from the property purchases shall be deposited into this Fund. Requires IDOT to use the money to improve Strategic Regional Arterials in Northeastern Illinois. Effective immediately.
