MUN CD UTILITY TX EXEMPT 65 YR                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Municipal Code.  Provides that a municipality      
   that imposes certain privilege taxes may reduce the rate of the tax or      
   eliminate the tax for persons 65 years of age or older.                     
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE                                           
          In the opinion of DCCA, HB1093 fails to create a State mandate       
          under the State Mandates Act.                                        
          HOME RULE NOTE                                                       
          HB1093 does not preempt home rule authority.                         
          FISCAL NOTE (DCCA)                                                   
          HB 1093 may have a fiscal impact those units of local gov't.
