House Sponsors: ERWIN. Short description: EDUCATE FOR FUTURE TODAY ACT Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Creates the Education for the Future Today Act. Provides for a program of contracts administered by the State Treasurer for the purchase of future college tuition payments for persons born on or after December 1, 1982. Limits the State's full faith and credit obligation to $5,000,000. Amends the State Finance Act to create the necessary special fund within the State treasury. FISCAL NOTE (Treasurer's Office) HB396 would cost an estimated $1 million annually. STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE In the opinion of DCCA, HB396 fails to create a State mandate.
