Short description: ADOPTED CHILD-PROCEDURE-INSUR Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Insurance Code, the Health Maintenance Organization Act, the Adoption Compensation Prohibition Act, and the Adoption Act. Imposes certain requirements on accident and health insurance policies and HMO contracts concerning adopted children. Adds, as a ground for a finding of parental unfitness, failure to maintain a reasonable degree of interest as to the pregnant mother and unborn child during the period of gestation.
