 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION
 2        WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
 3    of the death of Aubrey  M.  Crum  of  South  Jacksonville  on
 4    Saturday, December 12, 1998; and
 5        WHEREAS,  He  was born near Waverly on December 14, 1919,
 6    the son of Roy and May DeLong Crum;  he  was  a  graduate  of
 7    Waverly   High   School   and   attended   Southern  Illinois
 8    University;  he  married  Milda  I.  Lovell  in  Springfield,
 9    Illinois, in 1952; and
10        WHEREAS,  He  was   employed   for   several   years   at
11    Jacksonville State Hospital; he later worked in an ammunition
12    plant  in  northern  Illinois;  and  in 1978, he retired from
13    Standard Oil Company in Wood River after 34 years; and
14        WHEREAS, He was a member of the Central Christian  Church
15    in  Jacksonville  and  a  former  member of the Waverly Lions
16    Club; he was active in the Democratic  Party  and  served  as
17    precinct   committeeman  in  Waverly  and  most  recently  in
18    Jacksonville's 25th precinct; and
19        WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt  by  his  family
20    and   friends,   especially   by   his   wife,   Milda;   his
21    stepdaughters,   Barb   E.  Russell  and  Joyce  E.  Reno;  5
22    stepgrandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; his  brothers,
23    Raymond   and   Norman;   and  a  sister,  Genevieve  Colvin;
24    therefore, be it
25        RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
26    OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
27    the  death  of  Aubrey  M.  Crum  and  extend   our   sincere
28    condolences to his family and friends; and be it further
29        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
30    presented to his widow, Milda I. Crum.
