1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mrs. Harriet Elizabeth Serdar of Wadsworth on
4 December 29, 1998; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born on June 7, 1915 in North Chicago;
6 she was a graduate of Holy Child High School; and
7 WHEREAS, She married Paul Serdar in 1936; they founded
8 Imperial Mink Ranch and Harriet's Imperial Furs in Wadsworth;
9 her husband was Chairman of the Illinois Racing Board; he
10 preceded her in death on November 9, 1991; and
11 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
12 and friends, especially her children, Pat Serdar Page, Jeff
13 Serdar, Neal Serdar, and Sandra Scroggins; her
14 daughters-in-law, Cheryl and Patti; her son-in-law, Gary
15 Scroggins; her grandchildren, Bradley, Lisa, Paul, Matt,
16 Mark, Kate, Philip, Mike, Tim, Eloise, Amanda, Stefan, and
17 Kelsey; her great-grandchildren, Amber, Samantha, Nicklos,
18 Lottie, Bradley Jr., and Anthony; and her sisters, Patricia
19 Balmes and Adrienne Neal; therefore, be it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
21 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
22 the death of Mrs. Harriet Elizabeth Serdar and extend our
23 sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it
24 further
25 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
26 presented to the family of Mrs. Harriet Elizabeth Serdar.
