1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mrs. Alberta P. Bietsch of Springfield on
4 Monday, September 28, 1998; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born in Springfield on March 15, 1916,
6 the daughter of Cornelius and Mary Link McCarthy; and
7 WHEREAS, She was employed by Illinois Bell Telephone
8 Company, by the Illinois State Senate Post Office as an
9 assistant postmistress from 1969 until 1973, and the Illinois
10 Department of Agriculture; and
11 WHEREAS, She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic
12 Church; and
13 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
14 and friends, especially her husband, Carl; her daughter,
15 Sharon Turk; two grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Stengel
16 and Frances McCarthy; and two brothers, William and Cornelius
17 McCarthy; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
19 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
20 the death of Mrs. Alberta P. Bietsch and extend our most
21 sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it
22 further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to her husband, Mr. Carl J. Bietsch.
