1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Carol Lynn Harris of Chicago on Wednesday,
4 February 11, 1998; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born in Chicago on June 11, 1957, the
6 daughter of Geneva and Dillard J. F. Harris; and
7 WHEREAS, She attended Doolittle and Kipling Elementary
8 Schools and graduated from Rock Island High School; she
9 earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Governors
10 State University; and
11 WHEREAS, She was employed by Governors State
12 University/Communications Department, State Senator Emil
13 Jones, Congressman George Sangmeister, and the Cook County
14 Board of Tax Appeal Office in Markham, Illinois; and
15 WHEREAS, She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority,
16 Inc.; and
17 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
18 and friends, especially her daughter, Jennifer Perkins; her
19 parents, Geneva Frost Harris and Dillard J. F. Harris; her
20 brother, Dillard Harris; and her niece, Tiffany Harris;
21 therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
23 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sadness the death
24 of Carol Lynn Harris; and
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to the family of Carol Lynn Harris.
