1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of S. Walker Findley of Palos Park,
4 Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, S. Walker Findley was born on March 25, 1903 in
6 Okuaka, Illinois; his parents were Samuel Witten Findley and
7 Susan Stewart Findley; S. Walker Findley was married to Hazel
8 R. Findley for sixty-six years; and
9 WHEREAS, S. Walker Findley attended Monmouth College in
10 Monmouth, Illinois; Mr. Findley was employed with University
11 of Chicago Press as Office Manager for twenty-seven years;
12 upon his retirement he became District Manager for Baird and
13 Warner Real Estate for seven years; and
14 WHEREAS, Mr. Findley was a resident of Palos Park,
15 Illinois for fifty-five years; therefore, be it
16 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
17 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we wish to send our sincere
18 condolences to the family and friends of S. Walker Findley of
19 Palos Park, Illinois; at this time of mourning may they find
20 peace and comfort; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to the family of S. Walker Findley.
