 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION
 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Illinois  Senate  wish  to
 3    extend  their sincere condolences to the family of Bernard R.
 4    "Boomer" Havidich of Lockport, Illinois, who passed  away  on
 5    December 28, 1997; and
 6        WHEREAS,  Bernard  Havidich  was  a  lifetime resident of
 7    Lockport Township where he was serving  his  second  term  as
 8    Highway  Commissioner;  for  the  past  twenty-eight years he
 9    served  in  many  offices  within  the  township   including:
10    Township  Collector,  Township  Clerk,  and Township Trustee;
11    Bernard Havidich served the community  as  a  member  of  the
12    Lockport  Township  Library Board; he was a Lockport Township
13    Democrat Precinct Committeeman for thirty-five years and  was
14    a  member  of  the Board of Directors of the Illinois Highway
15    Commissioners Association, St. Dennis Church, Lockport Moose,
16    and Old Timers Baseball; and
17        WHEREAS, Bernard Havidich  was  a  graduate  of  Fairmont
18    Grade  School,  Lockport  Township  High School, and attended
19    Joliet Junior College; for thirty-one years he  worked  as  a
20    route  salesman  for  Meadow Gold Dairy; Bernard Havidich was
21    retired from Teamsters Local 179; and
22        WHEREAS,  Bernard  Havidich  is  survived  by   his   two
23    brothers,  Thomas  (Marge) and Frank (Mary); his two sisters,
24    Anne Miller and Delores  Bebej;  his  special  friends,  Mary
25    Ferro and George Mushro; as well as his many nephews, nieces,
26    and cousins; therefore, be it
27        RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
28    OF  THE  STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, with great sadness
29    for his family and friends, the  death  of  Bernard  "Boomer"
30    Havidich of Lockport, Illinois; and be it further
31        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
