1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate learned with regret of
3 the death of Mrs. Margaret Davis of Springfield on Tuesday,
4 April 22, 1997; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born on February 17, 1915, the daughter
6 of Frank and Marie Moore Nemeth; she was married to Charles
7 "Buzz" Davis in 1934 and to this union were born a daughter,
8 Patricia, and a son, Charles; and
9 WHEREAS, Mrs. Davis worked as an accountant with the
10 Department of Conservation for thirty-one years, retiring in
11 1992; and
12 WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, her
13 son, and four brothers and sisters; and
14 WHEREAS, Loving mother and proud grandmother, Margaret
15 Davis leaves a legacy of memories that will long inspire her
16 survivors, including her daughter, Patricia Locker; her
17 grandchildren, Donald McDevitt, Lori Needham, and Joni
18 Loeser; her great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Christopher
19 McDevitt and Hannah, Ryan, and Jennah Needham; and her
20 nieces, Bonnie Myers and Constance Ripper; therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
22 OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow and regret
23 the death of Mrs. Margaret Davis and extend our sincere
24 condolences to her family and friends; and be it further
25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
26 presented to her daughter, Patricia Locker, as an expression
27 of our sympathy.
