1 AN ACT to amend the State Treasurers Act by changing
2 Section 6.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The State Treasurer Act is amended by
6 changing Section 6 as follows:
7 (15 ILCS 505/6) (from Ch. 130, par. 6)
8 Sec. 6. Whenever the condition of the bond of the
9 Treasurer is broken, it shall be the duty of the Governor to
10 order the same to be prosecuted. Suit may be instituted and
11 prosecuted thereon to final judgment against the Treasurer or
12 his or her sureties, or one or more of them, jointly or
13 severally, without first establishing the liability of the
14 Treasurer, by obtaining judgment against him alone.
