 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION
 2        WHEREAS, The members of this Body are happy to  recognize
 3    individuals  who  have  made outstanding contributions to the
 4    well-being of the citizens of this State; and
 5        WHEREAS, Wilson Frost is retiring as a Cook County  Board
 6    of Tax Appeals Commissioner; and
 7        WHEREAS,  Wilson  Frost  was  also  elected  Chairman  of
 8    Finance, President Pro Tem, Chairman of Human Resources,  and
 9    Chairman  of  the  Utilities Committee of the City Council of
10    Chicago; and
11        WHEREAS, Wilson Frost was born in Cairo; after moving  to
12    Chicago, he attended Doolittle Elementary School and Phillips
13    High School in Chicago, and Wilson Junior College; and
14        WHEREAS,  After  serving  in  the military, he received a
15    bachelor's degree  from  Fisk  University  and  a  J.D.  from
16    Chicago Kent College of Law; and
17        WHEREAS,  He  was elected to public office as Alderman of
18    the 21st Ward in 1967 and as Alderman of  the  34th  Ward  in
19    1971; and
20        WHEREAS,  Recipient of the Man of the Year Award from the
21    Original Forty Club in 1974,  Wilson  Frost  is  currently  a
22    trustee  of  John  Marshall  Law  School  and a member of the
23    advisory board of Mercy Hospital Medical Center; and
24        WHEREAS, Wilson Frost has earned the respect of  all  who
25    have grown to know him; therefore, be it
26        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
27    NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that  we
28    congratulate  Wilson  Frost  on his retirement and extend our
29    sincere best wishes to him for the future; and be it further

 1        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
 2    presented to Wilson Frost as an expression of our esteem.
