1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate The Blue Condors
4 Pleasure Club of Chicago, Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, On November 14, 1998, The Blue Condors Pleasure
6 Club will celebrate its 65th Anniversary; and
7 WHEREAS, In 1932 the club was organized under the name
8 The Blue Eagles; they first gathered in the gas station of
9 the first club president, Art Ambroz; the club changed its
10 name to The Blue Condors Pleasure Club in 1933; and
11 WHEREAS, The Club was chartered under the laws of the
12 State of Illinois as The Blue Condors Pleasure Club on
13 October 10, 1933; the club's meeting place is at 5118 South
14 Western Avenue in a hay and feed store that was converted to
15 the club's present home in July of 1939; and
16 WHEREAS, The Blue Condors Pleasure Club has taken an
17 active part in participating in civic, community, and
18 charitable affairs; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
21 extend our sincere congratulations to The Blue Condors
22 Pleasure Club of Chicago on the occasion of their 65th
23 Anniversary; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to the officers and members of The Blue Condors
26 Pleasure Club.
