1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the
3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage
4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for
5 the people of the State of Illinois; and
6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs.
7 C.E. Gotschall of Urbana have celebrated the fiftieth
8 anniversary of their marriage; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Gotschall were united in holy
10 matrimony on September 16, 1948 in Jacksonville; and
11 WHEREAS, They are the loving parents of Pamela Smith and
12 R. E. Gotschall and the proud grandparents of three
13 grandchildren; and
14 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its
15 highest plateaus when a couple such as C.E. and Vi Gotschall
16 celebrate their golden wedding anniversary; and
17 WHEREAS, C.E. and Vi Gotschall stand as examples of the
18 best of our society, and their love and devotion to each
19 other and to their family and friends serve as a reminder to
20 all that hard work, dedication, and love can make a
21 difference in today's world; therefore be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
24 congratulate Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Gotschall on the occasion of
25 their fiftieth wedding anniversary; that we commend them for
26 achieving a long and happy marriage, blessed with children
27 and grandchildren and rich in friendships; and that we wish
28 them happiness and good health in the future; and be it
29 further
30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
