1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the House are honored and
3 delighted to recognize significant milestones in the history
4 of an outstanding organization in the State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that the Brownstown
6 Fire District is celebrating its 30th anniversary of service
7 to its community and this State; and
8 WHEREAS, Organized by a group of concerned citizens, the
9 District filled a vital need in the community and today
10 stands as one of the finest volunteer fire departments in the
11 State; and
12 WHEREAS, It is through the tireless efforts of such
13 dedicated individuals as Chief Bob Newcomb and the selfless
14 volunteer members, and all those who have preceeded them in
15 their tasks through the years, that we can be inspired and
16 uplifted by their unselfish willingness to provide for the
17 safety and well-being of their community; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
20 congratulate the Brownstown Fire District on the occasion of
21 its 30th anniversary and extend our thanks to each member of
22 the District; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to Chief Bob Newcomb.
