1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Joe M. Bexson
3 will retire as Village of Gardner Public Works Director on
4 February 28, 1998, after 27 years of service; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Bexson has been part of the infrastructure
6 growth of the Village with the new sewer plant, new water
7 plant, replacement of deteriorating and undersized
8 watermains, and installation of valves to zone water flow;
9 and
10 WHEREAS, Mr. Bexson has held various positions and
11 offices, including the Gardner Grade School Board, the GSW
12 High School Board, the Village of Gardner ZBA, the Gardner
13 Volunteer Fire Department, the Grundy County ZBA, Village
14 Zoning Officer, Village Building Inspector, and the Gardner
15 Little League; and
16 WHEREAS, Mr. Bexson has been supported throughout his
17 career by his wife Barb, his four sons, and three
18 grandchildren; therefore, be it
19 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
20 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
21 congratulate Joe M. Bexson as he retires as the Village of
22 Gardner Public Works Director and extend to him our best
23 wishes for the future; and be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to Mr. Joe M. Bexson.
