1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Centralia, Illinois, is the home of the
3 Centralia Hall of Fame; each year, three special citizens are
4 selected for induction into its hallowed walls; Charles A.
5 Fowler is one such inductee; and
6 WHEREAS, Charles Fowler received his Bachelor in Science
7 degree in Engineering Physics with High Honors from the
8 University of Illinois in 1942; he did graduate work at the
9 Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn and Adelphi University; and
10 WHEREAS, Charles Fowler has been employed with The MITRE
11 Corporation, The Raytheon Company, the United States
12 Department of Defense, Airborne Instruments Laboratory, and
13 MIT Radiation Laboratory; he has written extensive articles
14 and contributed to several books; he is married to Kathryn
15 Elizabeth Grimes; they are the proud parents of Patricia Ann
16 and Mary Catherine; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
19 salute Charles Fowler on his induction into the Centralia
20 Hall of Fame; and be it further
21 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22 presented to Charles Fowler.
