1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3632
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3632 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Citizens Utility Board Act by
5 changing Section 2."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Citizens Utility Board Act is amended by
9 changing Section 2 as follows:
10 (220 ILCS 10/2) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 902)
11 Sec. 2. Purpose. The purpose of this Act is to promote
12 the health, welfare, and prosperity of all of the citizens of
13 Illinois this State by ensuring effective and democratic
14 representation of utility consumers before the Illinois
15 Commerce Commission, the Federal Energy Regulatory
16 Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, the
17 courts, and other public bodies and by providing for consumer
18 education on utility service prices and on benefits and
19 methods of energy conservation. Such purpose shall be deemed
20 a statewide interest and not a private or special concern.
