1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2583
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 2583 on page 1, by
3 replacing line 8 with the following:
4 "Sec. 9.2. Day care information.
5 (a) The"; and
6 on page 1, line 16, after "facility.", by inserting the
7 following:
8 "(b) The Department shall establish and maintain a list
9 of licensed day care facilities in this State, to be made
10 available to the public on the Internet. The Department
11 shall list these day care facilities both alphabetically and
12 geographically. For each day care facility, the list shall
13 include the name, licensee, address, phone number, ages of
14 the children served, maximum number of children served, and
15 days and hours the day care facility is open. The list may
16 include information on a day care facility that is exempt
17 from licensing at the owner's or operator's request. The
18 Department shall inform the public on the availability of
19 this list on the Internet through public service
20 announcements, brochures, and any other means the Department
21 deems appropriate.
