Amends the Illinois Drainage Code by making a technical
change in the Section concerning land drained in the course
of natural drainage.

1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Drainage Code by changing
2 Section 2-1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Drainage Code is amended by
6 changing Section 2-1 as follows:
7 (70 ILCS 605/2-1) (from Ch. 42, par. 2-1)
8 Sec. 2-1. Land may be drained in course of natural
9 drainage.
10 Land may be drained in the general course of natural
11 drainage by either open or covered drains. When such a drain
12 is entirely upon the land of the owner constructing the
13 drain, he shall not be liable in damages therefor.
