1 AN ACT to amend the Public Utilities Act by changing
 2 Section 5-102.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by

 7 (220 ILCS 5/5-102) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 5-102)
8 Sec. 5-102. The Commission may shall have power to
9 establish a uniform system of accounts to be kept by public
10 utilities or to classify public utilities and to establish a
11 uniform system of accounts for each class and to prescribe
12 the manner in which such accounts shall be kept. It may

15 well as accounts of earnings and expenses, and any other
16 forms, records and memoranda which in the judgment of the
17 Commission may be necessary to carry out any of the
18 provisions of this Act. The system of accounts established
19 by the Commission and the forms of accounts prescribed by it
20 shall not be inconsistent, in the case of corporations

29 corporations, with the approval of the Interstate Commerce
30 Commission, covering information in addition to that required

1 has prescribed the forms of accounts to be kept by any public
2 utility for any of its business, it shall thereafter be
3 unlawful for such public utility to keep any accounts for

7 The Commission may, from time to time, alter, amend or
