Appropriates $2,000,000 to the Illinois Community College
Board for distribution to the board of the community college
district in Chicago for use in providing child care services
to community college students and others. Effective July 1,
1997.

1 AN ACT making an appropriation to the Illinois Community
2 College Board.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The sum of $2,000,000, or so much of that
6 amount as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois
7 Community College Board for distribution to the board of a
8 community college district in a city having a population of
9 500,000 or more inhabitants for use in providing child care
10 services for students of community colleges and others under
11 Section 7-23.2 of the Public Community College Act.
12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
13 July 1, 1997.
