1 AN ACT in relation to the regulation of certain matters.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Probate Act of 1975 is amended by
5 changing Section 1-9 as follows:
6 (755 ILCS 5/1-9) (from Ch. 110 1/2, par. 1-9)
7 Sec. 1-9. Act to be liberally construed.) This Act and
8 the rules now or hereafter applicable to this Act thereto
9 shall be liberally construed to the end that controversies
10 and the rights of the parties may be speedily and finally
11 determined and the rule that statutes in derogation of the
12 common law shall be strictly construed does not apply.

14 Section 10. The Revised Uniform Limited Partnership Act
15 is amended by changing Section 100 as follows:
16 (805 ILCS 210/100) (from Ch. 106 1/2, par. 151-1)
17 Sec. 100. Short Title. Articles 1 through 13 of this
18 Act shall be known and may be cited as the "Revised Uniform
19 Limited Partnership Act".
