1 AN ACT concerning job training.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
5 amended by changing Section 46.49 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 605/46.49) (from Ch. 127, par. 46.49)
7 Sec. 46.49. Job training plan hearings. To require
8 Service Delivery Areas established under the federal Job
9 Training Partnership Act to hold public hearings on the job
10 training plans developed for their respective jurisdictions
11 pursuant to Section 104 of the federal Job Training
12 Partnership Act. Such public hearings shall be held by the
13 Service Delivery Areas prior to the submission of the job
14 training plans to the Department for review and approval or
15 disapproval on behalf of the Governor. The Department shall,
16 as part of its plan submission requirements, direct Service
17 Delivery Areas to submit evidence that such hearings have
18 been held.
19 The Department shall hold public hearings regarding those
20 Job Training Partnership Act programs set aside under that
21 Act for direct administration and implementation by the
22 Governor. Such public hearings shall be held prior to the
23 submission of the Governor's Coordination and Special
24 Services Plan to the General Assembly for review and comment
25 and to the Governor for approval.
