1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 819
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 819 on page 17, by
3 replacing lines 23 through 25 with the following:
4 "(6) employ and direct an Executive Director and
5 such other staff as the Board deems necessary to exercise
6 its powers and duties under this Article, subject to the
7 following conditions: all employees of the State Board of
8 Education who shall lose their employment with the State
9 Board of Education as the result of the establishment of
10 the Professional Teacher Standards Board and the
11 attendant transfer of power and duties to the
12 Professional Teacher Standards Board shall be afforded
13 the right to transfer their employment without
14 interruption from the State Board of Education to the
15 Professional Teacher Standards Board, retaining their
16 seniority status and salary as it then exists with the
17 State Board of Education;".
