Amends the Adoption Act. Provides that in an adoption
proceeding to adopt a child who is a ward of the Department
of Children and Family Services the prospective adoptive
parents shall file an affidavit disclosing any charitable
contributions they have made within the 5 years prior to the
filing of the petition for adoption. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT to amend the Adoption Act by adding Section 5.5.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Adoption Act is amended by adding Section
5 5.5 as follows:
6 (750 ILCS 50/5.5 new)
7 Sec. 5.5. Disclosure of charitable contributions. In an
8 adoption proceeding to adopt a child who is a ward of the
9 Department of Children and Family Services the prospective
10 adoptive parents shall file an affidavit disclosing any
11 charitable contributions they have made within the 5 years
12 prior to the filing of the petition for adoption.
