Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    Sec. 21.2-2. Interference with a public institution of education. A person commits interference with a public institution of education when he or she, on the campus of a public institution of education, or at or in any building or other facility owned, operated or controlled by the institution, without authority from the institution he or she, through force or violence, actual or threatened:
        (1) knowingly denies to a trustee, school board
    
member, superintendent, principal, employee, student or invitee of the institution:
            (A) Freedom of movement at that place; or
            (B) Use of the property or facilities of the
        
institution; or
            (C) The right of ingress or egress to the
        
property or facilities of the institution; or
        (2) knowingly impedes, obstructs, interferes with or
    
disrupts:
            (A) the performance of institutional duties by a
        
trustee, school board member, superintendent, principal, or employee of the institution; or
            (B) the pursuit of educational activities, as
        
determined or prescribed by the institution, by a trustee, school board member, superintendent, principal, employee, student or invitee of the institution; or
        (3) knowingly occupies or remains in or at any
    
building, property or other facility owned, operated or controlled by the institution after due notice to depart.
