Sec. 9.
Every person or corporation who shall take or demand any greater
rate of toll for the passage of any person or property over any bridge than
is allowed by law, shall, for each offense, forfeit and pay to the party
aggrieved the sum of $5, and such additional amount as shall have been
illegally taken.
