Sec. 30.
Independent contractors retained by Council.
(a) A contract entered into to
retain a person to act as the administrator of the Fund shall be subject to
public bid, provided that no such contract shall be entered into without the
review and approval of the Director of the Agency. The Council may enter
into a contract or an agreement authorized
under this Act with a person, the Agency, the Department of Revenue,
other departments, agencies, or governmental subdivisions of this
State, another state, or the United States, in connection with its
administration and implementation of this Act.
(b) The Council may reimburse a public or private contractor retained
pursuant to this Section for expenses incurred in the execution of a
contract or agreement. Reimbursable expenses include the costs of
performing duties or powers specifically delegated by the Council.
