Emergency medical technician licensure.
The board of trustees of a fire protection district may require that all firefighters hired on or after January 1, 2005 (the effective date of Public Act 93-952) by any fire department within the district must be licensed as an EMT, EMT-I, A-EMT, or paramedic under the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Systems Act.
