Sec. 15. Elections and referenda. When a referendum is submitted under this Act for approval or rejection by the electors, the time and manner of conducting a referendum, including petition signature requirements, shall be in accordance with the general election law of the State. The creation of any Regional Fire Protection Agency by referendum shall be secured by an intergovernmental agreement that
includes terms that meet the standards set forth in Section 25
of this Act.
